https://v5.mui.com/x/react-date-pickers/

For v5 such a URL did not exist, the main page is https://v5.mui.com/x/react-date-pickers/getting-started/.
We could maybe re-release docs with a redirect if /react-date-pickers/ is hit. 🤔

As for other links—those do not exist on v5 @mui/x. 🤔

This is sort of a duplicate of #44044 which is a duplicate of #43727 😅

It's an ongoing issue with subdomain links throughout the MUI product docs—for example, navigating from the MUI X v8 docs (https://next.mui.com/x/react-charts/getting-started/) to Material UI takes you to the outdated (https://next.mui.com/material-ui/getting-started/) instead of (https://mui.com/material-ui/getting-started/).

As discussed in mui/material-ui#43727 (comment), I think most practical fix would be absolute paths for all links between products (MUI X, Material UI, Joy UI, Base UI, MUI System) since the versions don't sync up.

@samuelsycamore should we track this one, or close it and use the material issue to track it? I mean, it is X related, so we could track this ourselves 🤷🏼

Oops! I apologize for the duplication. I did various search and didnt find anything. (Though in my defense I didn't expect that these would be logged under mui/material-ui and not under mui/mui-x.)

Edit - no wait, maybe I'm mistaken. Either way - sorry for adding a needless issue.

no worries @zehawki it gets increasingly difficult to find related issues, even when they are not cross-repo! 👍🏼

Not a problem @zehawki ! The issue actually might exist in both repos (I'm not entirely sure at the moment) so it's not a bad thing to be reminded that we need to resolve this!

In the meanwhile, would it be possible to share a working URL for the tree-view? I need to refer to the doc to check something and I'm a bit stuck.

@zehawki the components you were trying to access are all MUI X packages—check out the repo readme here for details on installation and setup: https://github.com/mui/mui-x/blob/master/README.md

(In case it's unclear: MUI X packages don't follow the same versioning as Material UI, so you should be able to use the latest versions of the X components with Material UI v5 or v6 no problem.)

Got it thanks. There is it https://mui.com/x/react-tree-view/getting-started/#installation

Coz I had attempted to go to MUI X from the drop down, and these links also have the same issue.

Then I went to https://v5.mui.com/x/react-data-grid/, but there was no tree-view there.

Anyway, issue solved for now.
